Wapahani downed Blackford in three games to open the 2009 volleyball season.
However, the verdict was not reached as easily as you might imagine. After
winning the first two games easily 25-10 and 25-13, the Bruins forced the final
game into extra play before falling 26-24.
Waphani’s
quick pace of play bothered Blackford throughout the evening. After the match,
Blackford Coach Sherrie Rainey praised the Raiders for their tradition and off
season preparation.
